Cornerstone Faucet embodies the design language of Cornerstone Collection, a collaboration of Jiyoun Kim Studio and American Standard. Presenting rectilinear pillar and pipes in a harmony in line with other assortments within the collection. Jiyoun Kim Studio collaborated with American Standard on Cornerstone Collection project, a newly designed hign-end line-up consist of Cornerstone bidet, faucets and shower head along with sink, towel and paper roll hanger for bathroom and kitchen space.
Jiyoun Kim and the team focused on spatial context approaching the project finding the ideal form to comfortably blend into the fabric of bathroom and kitchen space. Keywork “Cornerstone” derived from distillation of the spatial insights together with the brand insights American Standard team. So called simplexity was achieved from balancing bold linear Cornerstone design language with intricate design details. Such balance leads perceptual flow from overall rectilinear form factor to rather concealed but refined details creating a juxtaposition of immediate simplicity and elaborate complexity.
Cornerstone Collection is launched under American Standard in 2023.
